[Edited Heavily on 8/2/19 after I did a phone-a-thon]
DC law allows bars and restaurants to theoretically start serving booze at 8a every day of the week. Though many spots in DC legally ask and are licensed to open that early, very few actually do so. Whether you want to celebrate a promotion or, more likely, rue a firing, you just have the day off, or you got up real early to go on a bike ride and want to stop somewhere: here’s a list of all bars and restaurants that I could find where you can get something a bit stronger than coffee at 8am on weekdays (mostly weekends as well). I’ve also included a few spots that are open early but don’t start serving until 9a or 10a.
Note: Also, many of these spots open earlier than 8a, but like I said, they can’t legally serve until then. Tweet @barredindc or email barredindc@gmail.com if anything is wrong here.
