Nearly everyone loves pizza, though people are skeptical often about pizza in DC. But there are plenty of options (though pricier than some want to pay). In July 2022, I ran a long poll thread-results summarized below (% based on only those whove’eaten

  1. You list Duccini’s as a good value at $13.99 for a one-topping 12″. That’s already a fair price, but I think the reason people are amazed by their price vs. quality are the permanent combo deals. You can get a pair of two-topping 12″ pies for $16.99 total, or 14″ ones for $21.99. Impossible to beat this quality at $8.50 per pizza in DC imo.

  2. I missed Chicago Style, which was a thing growing up in DC in the 70’s & 80’s. I think there are a few Chicago style pizza places left. Even an Armand’s in Rockville and a sister restaurant at Bethany Beach too.

  3. Maddy’s Pizza is new, but the thin crust, bar pie is where it’s at!
