    • Eater DC has a great list of its 16 favorite happy hours: Piola, Old Ebbitt Grill, Chef Geoff’s Downtown, Sushi Taro, Vinoteca, Black Jack, DC Reynolds, Urbana, The Palm, Boqueria, DGS Delicatessen (I wrote about its HH earlier this year), Poste, Mad Hatter, Tonic at Quigley’s, Vidalia, & GBD. I’ve been to all of these spots (except Piola, and never HH at The Palm and Boqueria); definitely recommend GBD, Chef Geoff’s, Sushi Taro, Black Jack, DC Reynolds, DGS, Vidalia and GBD. The 1/2 price pizza HH at Ghibellina is the one big oversight, IMO.

    • Glen’s Garden Market (Dupont)
    • Whole Foods P Street (U St/Logan)
    • GBD (Dupont)
    • The Board Room DC (Dupont)
    • Bar Charley (Dupont)
    • Duke’s Grocery (Dupont)
    • Barcelona Wine Bar (U St/Logan): new mini-chainlet (based of CT), on 14th near R. Really cool space, very popular with upper 20s/early 30somethings, drinks are pretty cheap for 14th
