Not surprisingly, many DC bars are hosting watch parties and showcasing election specials for the mid-term elections coming up Tuesday, November 6th. [Note that 18 USC 597 technically prohibits someone from “making or offering to make an expenditure” vote, or from someone from accepting money when there’s a federal candidate on the ballot, guessing DC Delegate race counts. Some real lawyers (not me, this ain’t legal advice) say offering a discount to someone in a “I voted” sticker is the same as “making an expenditure” but there’s not evidence this has ever been charged]

DC is overwhelmingly liberal, but if you want to avoid some conservatives, don’t goto Navy Yard or the Hill because there will be some there.
