Patty Boom Boom, the Jamaican-inspired dance hall on U Street, will close its doors after Saturday, February 21st. The bar announced the news on its Facebook account today.
The spot from the Hilton brothers opened on New Year’s Day 2010 and was notable for DJs, rum drinks, and delicious patties (the Guava Goat version was great). The bar will finish out its run with DJ parties, drink specials, and t-shirt giveaways for the next two weeks. It was also announced that the bar will “pop-up” at sister establishments Marvin and Den of Thieves nearby later this year. Plenty of Hilton brothers’ spots thrive in the neighborhood, but there will be one fewer later this month.
